Wilmington NC Beer Itinerary
Planning a trip to Wilmington, NC? Spring is a perfect time to visit.....

Wilmington is a port city in North Carolina. It’s known as a gateway to Cape Fear Coast beaches like Wrightsville, with its strong surf, and Carolina, with its long boardwalk. Part of downtown’s Historic District, the Riverwalk is lined with restaurants, galleries and shops. It runs along the Cape Fear River, where the Battleship North Carolina is moored. Artifacts on the ship explore WWII naval combat history. ― Google
Here’s a beer itinerary featuring 3 top-rated breweries you should visit:

1. Flytrap Brewing - Known for its small-batch brews and cozy atmosphere.
Founder of Flytrap Mike Barlas is proud to share his passion with the community. While earning his MBA from UNCW, he started home-brewing in his garage and was hooked from day one. Since opening Flytrap, Mike has been dedicated to brewing the best possible beers he can - with a focus on American and Belgian ales that are well balanced and full of flavor. Now, Mike and his growing team are excited to share this journey with fellow beer lovers.

2. Wilmington Brewing Company - Offers a wide variety of craft beers and a welcoming taproom.
Our family-friendly taproom is open for indoor and outdoor drinking and in-store shopping!
Enjoy our laid-back family friendly atmosphere in our taproom with 15 original rotating drafts brewed right here. Our taproom is full of games for the entire family, monthly events, weekly rotating food trucks and more!

3. Edward Teach Brewery - A pirate-themed brewery with unique and flavorful beers. Enjoy your beer adventure!
“We wanted something that was indigenous, and lent itself well to the region,” owner, Gary Sholar said. “Being that Blackbeard’s ship was located close here off the coast, and him having a presence here, it was a good fit.”
The brewery opened its doors December 15, 2017 and offers a 20-barrel, three vessel system, giving plenty of space to brew. Edward Teach currently offers 8 draft beers and is always working to create more.

Great review! Wilmington and Fly Trap are two of my favorites. Haven't been to Edward Teach but will have to check it out next time.
